In ‘Vessels,’ the portraits become a mirror reflecting the shared essence of our humanity, a testament to the profound idea that, despite the diversity portrayed, we glimpse faces without truly knowing the depth of the stories within.
In the gallery ‘Vessels,’ these portraits act like mirrors reflecting the raw essence we all share. They’re not just pictures; they’re a nod to the idea that, even with all the differences you see, you’re only scratching the surface of the stories these faces hold. It’s a challenge to look past what’s on the outside, urging you to imagine the tales behind each smile, every wrinkle, and all those mysterious expressions. ‘Vessels’ wants you to sit back and ponder on the intricate web of stories that tie us together, tucked away in the individuals staring back at you from these frames.

I’ve got this thing for capturing the essence of people just being, people. Genuine emotions, authentic smiles, and those spontaneous hugs are what I’m after. I’m not into forcing smiles out of people who aren’t feeling it and I’m also about letting people do their own thing when it comes to posing. Just be you, no need for the camera to turn you into someone else. It’s all about witnessing people in their natural element, being themselves without any camera-induced pretense. I wanted this approach to allow for a unique and personal narrative to unfold, where each photograph becomes a genuine, unfiltered glimpse into the deep beauty of the stories people are carrying with them.
